 Æ+Y Mobile Phone [THE SCORE]

For those who just want a beautiful mobile phone that makes calls and does little else may want to join us in fantasizing about this new phone by Æ+Y. We say fantasizing because there is no way we’re going back to a phone with no apps and we’re not going to pay $8,000 for any phone. So we will just look and admire the gorgeous gold or steel form factor of Yves Behar-designed AE+Y’s basic mobile phone that does nothing but make calls and showcases such ahead-of-its-time features such as voice dialing and alarm clocks. So why did we list this as a score? Because it’s beautiful to look at and we’re hoping somebody at Apple or Samsung jacks the design to inspire future designs of phones that cost $199 with a service provider upgrade.

If you have 8 stacks and change to waste on a pretty state of the art mobile phone that does little to nothing by all means visit the French vendor site Colette and get at their exclusive.

Via Colette:

Aesir Copenhagen is a new Danish telephone brand, created by entrepreneur Thomas Moller. The Æ+Y is designed by award-winning French designer Yves Behar. Minimalist design, elegant and compact, it is available in steel or gold and transports the mobile phone to another time! In the era of smartphones with multiple possibilities, Aesir focuses on the idea of speech, clear and simple and a phone made to last.
