1. Cardigans

Cardigans are nothing new. In fact, they are almost classic. They have been popular for a few seasons and haven’t faltered a bit in their cool appeal.

2. Geek Chic Glasses

You’ve seen stylish celebrities and other smuggish types with perfectly working eyes rocking the geeky frames with ungeeky flair. Thick horn rimmed glasses are sporty and stylishly complements almost any outfit–even sweatpants. Jump on the bandwagon and go nerd.

3. Tailored Double Breasted Suits and Blazers

The Europeans love skinny suits. So do I but a regular has been done to death. Double-breasted suits and blazers are all the rage these days. Check actor John Cho above. Runways showcasing fall lines were all over it. Ready-to-wear or satorically tailored, one or two good double-breasted  blazers in your suit collection will do you good.

4. A Great Coat

The trench coats of fall 2009 are a little more trim and a shorter than their clasic counterparts. Check your favorite designer’s website and check their take on it. Don’t forget to dress in layers and set it off with a stylish scarf. It’s cold outside!

5. Three Piece Suits

Three piece suits are back! And gentlemen are wearing them as everyday suits at the office and not just at formal events. The epitome of smug.
