Nick Cannon Playing Mr. Bentley to his wife Mariah Carey

What do you wear when your girl is getting more attention than you? When you’re playing Mr Bentley to her Diddy do you fade to black in the background or do you try to equal her shine?  That was the question some on Hollywood’s leading men had to ask themselves at this weekends Golden Globe Awards. The Foreign Press Association hosted the 67th Annual Awards to recognize the achievements of outstanding individuals in television and film both foreign and domestic and it seems all eyes were on the ladies last night. The weather was not on the red carpet’s side as many men had to carry umbrellas for their dates.

If you are feeling man enough to play second fiddle to your leading lady, opt for a classic black tuxedo with a black tie or bow tie. Let the night belong to her and air on the side of safety by playing it conservative. If you are looking to infuse your own style into the look, go for more subtle distinctions like a tie clip or a dramatic lapel. Just hold her umbrella with dignity, with your manhood intact, and pray you make it into a photo.
