
The Associated Press visited the places that the president frequented in New York when he was a student at Columbia University from 1981 until 1985. The news wire tracks down “Barry’s” first apartment and then continues to guide us down a variety of noted Obama spots on the Upper West Side, which include subway stops and the college campuses that launched the then-law student’s work as a community organizer. The AP’s presentation is very home videoish but it’s interesting to see Barack Obama’s New York.
